Two decades ago, Brompton founder Andrew Ritchie first started receiving enquiries to sell Brompton bikes further afield.
Tourists visiting London and other European cities had seen these compact folding bikes whizzing around the streets and wanted one for themselves.
Bromptons soon started appearing in neighbourhoods across the Asia Pacific region and were an instant hit.

The one-of-a-kind Brompton x Team GB 2021 edition bike in collaboration with British Red Cross. The bike came in a stylish red lacquer, (never seen before on a Brompton), with gloss white and blue extremities.
Brompton X Crew Nation
Thirteen, one-of-a-kind, Brompton bikes. Designed by some of the biggest names in music and made by us. Totally unique, custom-built and all for a good cause.
We joined forces with thirteen major artists and bands in a collective bid to raise money for Crew Nation - a global relief fund for live music crews massively impacted by COVID-19. Each custom bike design was offered at a live auction from 28 May – 12 June 2021.
